PA Three Rivers AAHAM has reserved a block of rooms for a discounted group rate of $159.00/night with The Landing Hotel. The rate is good for Thursday, September 5, 2024.  Friday, September 6th, 2024, the rate is $259.00/night.

2024 Fall Conference Speakers

Eric Wixom, CEO Wixcorp

ERIC WIXOM is the Co-founder and CEO of Wixcorp -- a patient experience company. Eric co-founded Wixcorp with two of his brothers with the goal of bringing sensible, innovative, and compelling service offerings to the healthcare industry with a sense of integrity, style, and fun. 

Prior to co-founding Wixcorp, Eric had a diverse career in healthcare working with medical groups, specialty practices, and hospitals of all sizes. He has extensive experience with designing patient experiences, healthcare strategies, IT systems, and change management. 

Eric holds an Executive MBA in Systems Thinking from Villanova University's School of Business and a B.A. in Health Science Studies with a Business minor from Boise State University.

 Dan Mulholland, Senior Partner - Horty, Springer & Mattern, P.C.

DAN MULHOLLAND is a senior partner in the law firm of Horty, Springer & Mattern, P.C. in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is also an editor of the Health Law Express, a weekly e-newsletter on health law developments, and a speaker at HortySpringer seminars, podcasts and audio conferences. 

Mr. Mulholland was named by National Law Journal as one of 40 health care attorneys who have made their mark and he is listed in The Best Lawyers in America. Mr. Mulholland has spoken and written extensively concerning a wide variety of health law topics. He regularly advises clients on hospital medical staff, corporate, tax, fraud and abuse, and compliance matters, prepares and negotiates all manner of contracts between hospitals, physicians and managed care organizations. He also serves as trial and appellate counsel in False Claims Act, antitrust, tax exemption, contract and peer review litigation. 

Mr. Mulholland is a former Chair of the Credentialing and Peer Review Practice Group of the American Health Lawyers Association. He frequently provides strategic counseling to hospital and health system boards, as well as transactional services regarding mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and affiliations. 

Prior to joining Horty, Springer & Mattern, Mr. Mulholland obtained his undergraduate degree from Duquesne University. He then obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. 

Presentation: "How Recent Supreme Court Decisions will Affect Medicare Rules"

 Chad Wallace, President of HRSI

CHAD WALLACE is the President at HRSI. HRSI has been a leading provider of Medicaid Eligibility and Billing services for 30 years. In his role as President, Chad oversees operations, finance, and marketing of HRSI's services. He communicates with Medicaid stakeholders at the state and federal level, gaining insights into Medicaid policy. Chad has implemented and overseen numerous Medicaid Eligibility and Billing programs across a wide range of hospitals and health systems. He brings 25 years of healthcare, pharmaceutical, and business-to-business sales experience to HRSI. That includes over 18 years of direct selling into hospital and major health systems and seven years in the pharmaceutical industry in sales, government relations, training, and leadership positions. Chad is an active member in both HFMA and AAHAM organizations and has spoken at several individual and joint chapter education sessions.

 Georgina Trunzo, Director Revenue Cycle, Central Access Support, UPMC

GEORGINA TRUNZO has 40+ years of Health Care Experience in Patient Access Operations in both Hospital and Physician Services, including all aspects of patient registration related to various hospital integration (with the most recent converting to EPIC HB). In her current role, Georgina is responsible for the standardization of processes and centralization of non-patient facing tasks for 21 facilities and 23 hospital campuses. Georgina is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. degree in Health Planning/Hospital Administration with a minor in Finance. She is a long time member of NAHAM (National Association of Healthcare Access Management).
