Phoenix Physical Therapy

Zachary Bartolotta, PT, DPT

Zachary Bartolotta is a native of Murrysville, Pennsylvania and has been employed with Phoenix Physical Therapy for 4 years serving as the clinic director in the Natrona Heights (PA) office. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Saint Francis University in 2015 and achieved his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Saint Francis University in 2017. Upon graduating from physical therapy school, Zachary earned his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree from Saint Francis University in 2020. His areas of interest include treating patients with both operative and non-operative sports and orthopedic injuries such as low back pain, total joint replacements, and rotator cuff repairs.

Outside of working for Phoenix Physical Therapy, Zachary is an officer in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard serving as a Physical Therapist. He is an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and enjoys attending Pittsburgh sporting events as often as he can. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with friends and family, outdoor activities such as hiking and fishing, and spending time with his German Shepard, Cutch.

Alicia Bell, PT

Alicia Bell currently resides in Greensburg, Pennsylvania and has been employed with Phoenix Physical Therapy for 18 years serving first as the clinic director in the Mt. Pleasant (PA) office, and then transitioning into the role of Director of Clinic Operations in 2021, and currently oversees our 15 offices in the western PA/northern OH portion of Phoenix. She graduated with a Bachelors and Masters of Science from Thomas Jefferson University in 2002 and achieved her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Thomas Jefferson in 2006. Her areas of clinical interest include treating patients with a variety of conditions, including orthopedic and post-surgical, as well as neurological conditions such as stroke, spinal cord injury, and vestibular/concussions.  She has worked closely with many industries throughout western PA to develop post offer screens, perform on-site ergonomic training for employees, performed FCE’s and work conditioning/hardening as well as helped to re-write job descriptions.

Outside of working for Phoenix Physical Therapy, Alicia enjoys spending time with her 6 and 9 year old daughters and her husband Kevin. She is a sports fan and in her downtime enjoys playing tennis, golfing, running, hiking, playing piano and volunteering at her church and children’s school activities.

State and Federal Updates

The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania

Jolene H. Calla, Esquire

Ms. Calla currently serves as the Vice President of Health Care Finance and Insurance for the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP).  In this role, Ms. Calla directs all activities related to health care finance, including Medicare, Medicaid, and other government reimbursement for health care providers.  Her responsibilities include detailed understanding and analysis of state and federal budgets, as well as a comprehensive knowledge of legislation and regulation impacting hospital and health system finances, reimbursement, tax exemption of not-for-profit hospitals, and hospital charity care and billing practices across the continuum of care.

  Ms. Calla frequently participates in negotiations with government agencies and representatives of outside organizations on behalf of HAP.  Prior to joining HAP, Ms. Calla served the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for several years as Bureau Director for the Office of Medical Assistance Programs where she directed all operations and implemented multiple federal and state initiatives.  Ms. Calla was the only person to lead both the Fee-for-Service and the Managed Care delivery systems.  Ms. Calla’s prior positions afford her extensive expertise in the health care and insurance industry, with a concentration in managed care.  She worked as a Special Projects Consultant for Capital BlueCross, as the Director of Group Administration, Strategy and Process for Coventry Health Care and as Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications for Keystone Health Plan Central.  Ms. Calla received her Juris Doctorate from the Widener University School of Law, her Master of Arts in Communication Arts from the New York Institute of Technology, and her Bachelor of Arts in English and Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts from Villanova University.

Lisa Lane, Esquire

Lisa K. Lane is a 1989 graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a major in Print Journalism and a minor in Speech Communications. After college, Lisa attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and received her Juris Doctorate in 1992. That same year, she began her representation of employers and insurance carriers throughout Pennsylvania as an associate with the Altoona-based law firm of Andrews and Wagner.

Following 4 years as an associate at Andrews & Wagner, Lisa returned to her hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and became associated with Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin. There, she obtained shareholder status and supervised the workers’ compensation attorneys of that firm throughout Western Pennsylvania.

In April, 2002, Lisa entered a partnership with Ted Carpenter and Mike McCadden to form the two offices of Carpenter, McCadden & Lane, LLP. Throughout her legal career, Lisa has dedicated her practice to defending employers in litigation of workers’ compensation and other employment matters. Lisa is a frequent lecturer for insurance carriers, employers, and claims organizations.
